Appearance:
Ho-oh has a trim build, similar to that of a basketball player. He's toned though his arms and shoulders and while not defined with muscles, he's thin and lean throughout the rest of his body. He has several body piercings and markings; both ears are pierced and gauged up to a size a little smaller then the width of a pinky (4 gauge; 5mm), a labret stud though his bottom lip and a very faint tattoo-like green band is around his neck and both upper arms.
Has natural dark rings around his eyes and he paints his fingernails; usually white.
Has absolutely zero fashion sense or style so everyday is casual dress day for him.
Hoodies (with-or-without sleeves), t-shirts,manpris capris and jeans make up most of his wardrobe. On colder days he'll wear one of Lugia's sweaters because they're big and comfy.
At night, he usually sleeps naked or in his underwear (boxer-briefs).
Footwear is a pair of sneakers with the heels broken down, effectively making them slip-ons. Sometimes wears sandals. Can and will walk around in bare feet.
Ho-oh's hair is cut like a mohawk; it's shaved at the sides of his head, leaving a long stripe of hair down the center. Usually his hair is pulled back and gelled into a style resembling the crest on his true form's head while when he's at home, it's left alone and parted down the middle in a sort of bob. Very rarely does he wear it in the typical spiked-up style.
In its natural state his hair is soft to the touch although the shaved portions of his head feel a little like running your fingers over hedgehog quills when it starts to grow in.
It usually appears blond but like his feathers in his true form, his hair is prismatic, and the colour changes slightly depending on the lighting.
This goes for all the hair on his body.
Personality:
Where Lugia thinks with his head, Ho-oh thinks with his heart and tends to go with what he feels in a situation which leads to him being the sentimental sort of guy.
Surprisingly for a fire-type, Ho-oh is a pacifist and takes a non-aggression approach to life. Physical violence is a last resort for him, preferring compromise, accepting and forgiving the fact that people just can't see eye-to-eye rather then argue over it.
Because of his non-confrontational approach, certain things (such as the rift between him and Luke), have only worsened over time because he doesn't assert himself well.
While his long-term memory is fine, Ho-oh's short-term memory isn't the best. It's not uncommon for him to look at you with a confused expression and go 'huh' or 'what' after you've asked him to do something. He also has a habit of setting things down and forgetting where he's put them.
He's managed to lock himself out of the apartment a few times because of this.
If he's not really invested in something he gives up fairly quickly, distracted by newer things easily.
Ho-oh is also somewhat superstitious in nature although he focuses more on the things that benefit him (like horoscopes) then more serious ones.
History:
Born an orphan, raised by monks, shit went down and he ran away from 'home'.
Other Information:
He's an only child. For a long time, he was naive enough to believe he really was the only Ho-oh in existence.
Spring is his favorite season, followed by Autumn, Summer and lastly Winter. He loves how fresh and new everything smells in the spring, as well as the various hues budding and flowering trees take. He likes fall for the food and the colours as well, but as soon as the first snow hits and winter starts, he's whining and wishing for it to be over already.
He's a smoker and rolls his own tobacco. As mentioned before, he paints his nails because they'd have a slight yellow tint to them otherwise. He's courteous enough to go outside, or at least stand near a window when he smokes most of the time.
Use to, but doesn't drink any more. Was more then a bit of a pervert when drunk and never could hold his alcohol well.
Smokes pot, but only when he thinks no one is around, and usually only once a day.
Ho-oh is a glutton... He eats three square meals a day plus snacks.
He likes to indulge on convenience food from time to time but he does cook most of his meals. He's not a bad cook either and has several cookbooks and a box full of recipe cards with meals and desserts taken from TV, magazines and the back of boxes and cans.
To him it's another form of art and while art might be subjective, everyone loves a bite to eat.
Because of this he often shows affection though food, making and sharing it for those he cares about.
His favorite meat is beef and his favorite snackfood is jerky in all kinds of spicy flavors.
As far as what he likes to drink goes, he honestly prefers water best, followed by 'enhanced' water and sports drinks.
He's a morning person, typically waking up between 5 and 6am.
The first thing he does in the morning is go to thebathroom exercise. Ho-oh practices tai-chi for about a half hour every day before making breakfast and for another half hour after dinner. He mostly does this as a way of focusing and relaxing himself daily.
